When I first began planning my wedding I always knew it was going to big a big task that lay ahead of me and once the venue was booked it was time to attend a few wedding fairs for ideas. After wandering from fair to fair I finally attended one at Highfield Park in Hook where I met Gregor, a co-owner of Nicci-G's florists. By this time I had spoken to many florists but Gregor was the first that I had spoken too who really listened and understood what my vision for the wedding was. After sitting down for an initial consultation I was put instantly at ease and found Gregor to be not only helpful by giving me extra suggestions but also by filling me with the confidence that I didn't need to worry about a thing!
When it came to my Wedding day Gregor kindly came up to our quite manic bridal suite with the four bouquet deliveries and corsages and as he lifted up the green tissue paper to show me the finished arrangements, well it quite literally took my breath away, the flowers were in the most beautiful arrangements that I have ever seen and they really did exceed all of my expectations. All day I received compliment after compliment regarding the bouquets, table centre-pieces and the staircase display and the flowers really couldn't have been anymore perfect. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Gregor and the team for creating such elegance and I will certainly be recommending them to any other brides who are looking for a florist that provides exceptional service, value and amazing flowers! |

Planning my wedding was probably going to be one of the biggest events in my life so I knew that apart from my dress and the cake I certainly wanted the flowers to be one of the talking points of the day.
Nicci-G's came highly recommended by a close friend who had used them for her own wedding. I therefore made an appointment and first met with Gregor in July 2005. I knew I wanted my table arrangements to be tall and I had seen a beautiful picture in a London magazine where they had used rose bushes as their centre pieces. We discussed the theme of my wedding, colours and how we could get the same affect from the magazine. We were also worried about the weight of the flowers on top of a tall vase knowing that the venue was in a marquee and the flooring may not have been level. Eventually Gregor came up with a fantastic contemporary look where the tall vases were placed in a square short glass vase and filled with faux ice cubes and crushed ice. On top of that Gregor filled the tall vase with water and dropped a light down in to the vase to give a pearlescent affect through the ice - it looked amazing and ultimately gave me the contemporary look I desired. Whilst the marquee was my main focus, I obviously wanted my bridal flowers to be both classic and uncomplicated to compliment my dress. Nicci-G's achieved this by creating a compact posy of ivory roses that incorporated matching tulle from my dress, the two worked together perfectly.
Nicci-G's worked long and hard leading up to the day, the attention to detail was flawless going above and beyond my expectations and requests. I knew that I was going to be blown away although no where near as much as I was when I walked in to the marquee for the first time, everything was perfect, thank you Nicci-G's!

A letter from Katie and John Carlin
We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the absolutely amazing flowers you did for our wedding. Having seen your flowers at many events we have worked on mutually I knew you were the florist for me, however I didn’t quite know what I wanted for my wedding so being able to sit down with you and my mum and spend as long as I needed looking through your albums really helped. I know other florists that have no examples of their work and just give out magazines to look at, so being able to actually see what you have provided other clients for inspiration was excellent.
You always seemed to know exactly what we meant and were mostly one step ahead of us! The fact that you could produce any vase we wanted to see right there and then, and the speed with which you put a display together was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for you, even when mum had you dashing in and out bringing all sorts of different flowers to show her! I know that getting married on the 6th January wasn’t the best idea in terms of flower markets being open or choice of flowers available, but you made everything seem so easy, where other florists had made it sound impossible. You went out of your way to make sure that we had every flower we wanted at that difficult time of year, when you should have been enjoying a Christmas break, thank you.
We could not believe how quickly you put the pedestal displays together during the rehearsal, it was truly like watching a master artist at work, I could never have imagined an end product so beautiful. They really brightened up our tiny little church. My bouquet was to die for, exactly what I wanted – free and very natural to compliment my dress. You matched the colours of the roses exactly with my dress which mum was very impressed with! Everyone asked me where I got the jubejubes (diamonte’s) for my hair and I told them to go and see my florist!! Even my hairdresser used them in her hair for her wedding!
The flowers were admired by everyone, they made the marquee come alive. The guests said they made the marquee look like a fairytale setting. The moment we sat down with you for our first meeting I new knew I would not have to worry about the flowers as you were on completely the same wave length as us. I knew I could phone you or pop in to see you whenever I needed to without feeling like I was being a neurotic bride!
I recommend you to all of my clients for weddings, parties and corporate events. I know each one of them that has seen you is thrilled by your service, your sense of humour and friendliness.
Thank you for making our day so easy and so special. I hope that you have received some great photos of the flowers from my photographer to add to your fantastic photo albums.
Love Katie and John Carlin
